French butter keeper in titanium white glaze

A French butter keeper, wheelthrown in white stoneware. It’s glazed in a glossy titanium white glaze that has a subtle variegation and translucency to it.
To use, you fill the inner part with butter and put a small amount (1cm or so) of water in the base. This creates an airtight seal which will keep your butter fresh without the need to be refrigerated, making it easy to enjoy spreadable, room temperature butter.
The lid is flat so that it can be set upright on the table.
It measures approximately 8.5cm diameter and 8.6cm high externally; the inner part is approx 6.3cm diameter. It will hold around 2/3rds of a standard size pack of butter.
Dishwasher safe although hand wash is recommended for best care.
