A wheelthrown mug with a pulled handle, in a dark stoneware blend, glazed in a rutile glaze that shows blue on the iron rich clay.
There are soft throwing lines visible in the mug, highlighted by the glaze - a tactile reminder of the making process. I also particularly like the somewhat ghostly traces of glaze drips - again, telling the story of the mug’s making.
It measures 8.5cm diameter and 8.7cm high; capacity is around 370ml. Good for a generous cup of tea :)
Dishwasher safe although hand wash is recommended for best care.
